Vacancy - Communications Assistant (Temporary)
Salary - £26,520 FTE
Location - Hybrid working from home, Edinburgh head office and/or other community venues
Contract Type - Temporary appointment for 9 months (may be an opportunity for extension) and an expected start in early May 2026. Open to applicants looking for a 28-hour (part-time) or 35-hours (full-time) per week. Flexible working arrangements.
Purpose of the role:
As SIS’s Marketing and Communications Manager takes maternity leave, other members of the team are taking on additional responsibility to cover her role. This Communications Assistant role will deliver key tasks and complete maternity cover arrangements. We are seeking a proactive Communications Assistant, passionate about social aims, to join our team and support in achieving SIS’s ambitious goals.
SIS activity spans loan investment, market building (webinars, workshops, expert business support and events) and influencing those around us to operate with responsible business practices. This is a broad marketing and communications role, and the Communications Assistant will ensure SIS articulates our offering and engages with target audiences through the SIS website, social media channels, PR activities, and in-person events.
