Meet the team – Henry Anderson
We’re really pleased to be welcoming Henry Anderson to the SIS team. Henry started with SIS a couple weeks ago as our third Saltire Scholar from Entrepreneurial Scotland and has settled in incredibly quickly.
He will be working with the SIS team throughout the summer to assist in putting together our annual Social Impact Report. He’ll also be digging up SIS archives since our inception in 2001 to contribute to our 15 year anniversary review.
Originally from Leeds, Henry is about to enter his 4th year studying History and Politics and the University of Edinburgh. While studying he has explored his passion for British Politics and Social Enterprise as a positive way of tackling inequalities in our society. Alongside his studies he is also the Project Lead for a social enterprise set up through Enactus called Slurp Soups. Slurp Soups provide healthy soups to university students on campus and train and employ people affected by homelessness in Edinburgh to give them the skills and confidence to make a positive change in their lives.
Henry’s highlights so far include a visit to Foxlake Adventures in East Lothian on a tour with Matt Smith – CEO of The Key Fund, SIS’ cousin in the North of England – and exercising his moving muscles with the office move to Playfair House.
