SIS Retail Academy 2020

UPDATE: Please note that due to the current global events, this programme will be postponed to later in the year. Any applications received will be rolled over to the new date and programme; organisations will not have to apply again.

Are you a product-based social enterprise looking to access mainstream retail and corporate markets?

Social Investment Scotland (SIS) is delighted to offer social enterprises, with products suitable for retail and corporate markets, a rare opportunity to attend our SIS Retail Academy 2020. There is a limited number of fully funded places (excluding travel and personal expenses) for social enterprises based in Scotland.

Applications are currently on going as the programme has been postponed until later in the year due to current global events. Please read the application guidance document here (dates are now TBC) before applying through the online form here.

SIS Retail Academy 2020 will provide 20 individuals with places at our expert, residential training academy for social entrepreneurs looking to scale their impact by accessing significant retail and corporate markets. This is the fourth Retail Academy for social enterprises, and this year it is taking place in Falkirk, Scotland. It has been made possible through the generous support of the Scottish Government and Asda.

The SIS Retail Academy aims to inspire, offer practical insight and knowledge and the opportunity to meet with retail and corporate buyers who will provide expert feedback and may wish to develop a future buyer-supplier relationship. It is designed to provide the very best training, guidance and support for social entrepreneurs.

Please note, you will ideally be available for the pre-Academy pitch training day and for the full programme taking place in Falkirk – both dates have now been postponed until later in the year.

  • Aspire to sell their products at scale; we are looking for products rather than services
  • Have products developed, and ideally a trading history
  • Are open to taking on new learning and insight from experts in the field
  • Are committed to attending a pre-Academy training day (date TBC)
  • Are available to attend the 3 day/2-night Academy experience

To apply, please read the application guidance document here (dates are yet TBC) and then apply through our online form here.

Best of luck.
