Riding For The Disabled

Date : 13/12/2010

Riding For The Disabled was established as an independent charity 42 years ago to provide riding opportunities to people with disabilities in the Scottish Borders. The organisation helps over 60 disabled people per week, and over the years has raised finance from a variety of sources, most recently from the Scottish Rural Development Partnership (SRDP) to help pay for the creation of a warming therapy room for the horses, thus enabling horses to be properly prepared before riding.

Because the SRDP grant is paid retrospectively, SIS has provided bridging finance to enable the building work to be undertaken and thus the grant can be then claimed and paid.
