SIS Invests in REQUIPIT

REQUIPIT is a social enterprise that refurbishes and recycles electrical appliances and is owned by Bethany Christian Trust the Edinburgh based homeless charity.  The refurbished appliances are sold throughout the UK in charity shops such as Bethany shops, British Heart Foundation, Red Cross as well as a number of hospice shops raising much needed funds for these worthy causes. REQUIPIT will refurbish over 8,000 appliances this year and now employs over 20 staff as well as providing training in domestic appliance engineering. SIS provided funding for the set up costs of workshops and provide working capital whilst REQUIP increased production capacity and their customer base.
