Our social impact
SIS exists to build capacity, capability and financial sustainability in the third sector in Scotland.
We achieve this through investing in charities, social enterprises and community organisations, whilst offering help, support and advice to enable these organisations to deliver their plans and achieve their own social impact.
Our 2016 Social Impact Report summarises the results from our annual social impact customer survey. This year we had a 98% response rate and the results cover the findings from 118 SIS customers, charities, social enterprises and community enterprises.
Scottish Investment Fund 2014
We are delighted to share an evaluation of the £31.8m Scottish Investment Fund, launched by the Scottish Government in 2008/9. The fund has supported 67 investments across Scotland via a mix of grant, loan, risk capital and revolving credit. The Scottish Investment Fund has had a crucial influence upon the development of the social investment marketplace in Scotland, as well as a key driver of the whole social enterprise sector.
