Background
Critical Skills is a ground breaking teacher training programme that has been making an increasingly big impact on Scottish education for over ten years and is now widely recognised as providing the ideal vehicle to deliver Curriculum for Excellence. The programme encourages a full collaborative learning experience for those in receipt of the training.
Critical Skills is passionately focused on helping to make a major contribution to the transformation of Scottish education into a true world-leader through the effective implementation of "Curriculum for Excellence."

How SIS helped
Business expansion and market penetration were previously hampered by the company's private, commercial status but with the loan and risk capital nature of financial support from SIS the business has been converted to a social enterprise, opening up many more opportunities to become involved in the wider education field.
